Sleeper
I thought I'd share my bike
Ex500 engine Zx600d rear rim Zx600e rear rotor machined to a smaller diameter(the width is thicker than the zx600d's) Zx600d 530 rear sprocket narrowed to fit a 520 chain Old school aftermarket aluminum mufflers Put the rear turn signal bulbs and sockets in the tail light Higher wattage hi/low headlight bulb 2002 r6 front end that I got through eBay from another forum member. Didn't know he was a forum member when I bought them. Painted the front wheel and forks stock black. Shinko slicks. 120/60r17 150/60r17 Notched woodruff key to advance timing. Mikuni needles and uni filters K&N crank case breather Autocock trickery to make it a plain old petcock. Messed with the tank vent so it doesn't hold the stock 1/4psi of pressure. Woodcraft clipons. Ex500 stock adjustable levers. And I know I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff but you get the idea Coming in the mail is a 04-05 gsxr600 shock. The interwebs says that it's a bit too long and spring too soft. Ex500 longer dog bones will lower the rear back down and the Ex500 cantilever will lower the linkage ratio to stiffen the rear. It's fast enough to get in trouble on and handles well. The idea is to keep it looking like a stock bike and I am trying to get the stock front fender and belly pan to fit but they are far down on the priority list. I hope you all dig it as much as I do |

Glad everyone likes it.
The 500 was a pain. A little more than three weeks to accomplish. If I had to do it again I would of reinforced the frame and then notched the frame near the carbs to push the engine an inch rearward. The 250 frame is an inch and a half shorter from the swing arm to the neck than the 500 frame so I ended up with hardly any room to squeeze in a radiator fan. Other than that it was as much of a pain as you'd expect, Suki. |

Questionably. The rear slick says dot and does not say not for highway use, the front is just the opposite. I think it's a screw up by shinko, no way should the rear be dot. It's not a big deal though, a fix it ticket is $10-15 here and and isn't a impoundable offense.
