WTB: broken/cracked '08+ headlight to experiment with

This all depends on the type of damage. Basically, I have one with a crack on the right side of the lens and I'm looking for one with at least the right side intact. Yes, I am aware that it's all one piece and that it will need to be cut, glued, and hidden behind some kind of cover.

Is broken mounting tabs ok? If I can get a good one, mine will be CHEAP

Basically, here's the deal:

My headlight with the broken lens was intended to go in a modified fairing on a '97 EX250F. I originally intended to hide the crack with colored headlight mesh and a tinted headlight protector while compensating for the decreased brightness with the brightest H7 halogen bulbs I could buy.

That was the plan until the weather ruined the reflector in my good headlight on my J-bike ('08 EX250J). Now I need to salvage the reflector to fix my uncracked headlight. Without a good reflector, my F-bike will need a HID Bi-Xenon kit with projectors to compensate, which would look too damned good to hide under tinting and headlight mesh. It occurred to me that a line straight down the middle would be even better because then it will just look like a headlight shaping mod (black line down the middle on a black bike).

My crack does not go straight down the middle, so it would involve combining two cheap broken headlights which are cracked on opposite sides. A long shot, I know, but your trash could be my treasure. That said, I really don't want to spend over $40 on a broken headlight.

Well, I'm obviously trying to repair a headlight for significantly cheaper than buying a good headlight with an intact lens, but if the price is right...

Are you talking about trading an enclosure with bad mounting tabs for one with good mounting tabs? I'll have to take a look at the one I bought last year with a cracked lens to see (I didn't pay attention because it wasn't going to use the mounts in a '97 F-bike). I'd still need a lens though.

Yes. I have two fiberglass fairings with no headlight cutout (eBay and AirTech) and the HID kit is on the way.

I plan to do one pseudo '08+ headlight and one actual '08+ J-headlight.
