Water Bottle Holder
How many time's out on a ride you've stopped at a store / gas station to pick up a drink and only drink half of it before you need / want to leave. I always just end up throwing my drink away because I don't travel with a backpack when I'm out joy riding.
I want to find a water bottle holder that would work for our bikes. Lets not forget this thing can't look like some of those ugly looking holders for the cruiser types out there. They should make one that attaches to the windscreen and holds a water bottle. Behind the shield above the instrument cluster would be ideal. Something like this, but for out bikes:

Wouldn't a camel-pack be a better idea? Especially on those longer rides.

They do sell those tiny 8 oz water bottles now. You could easily fit one into your "trunk."

My jacket has a back pocket that I can fit all kinds of crap into. It also has a pocket that was meant to hold a camel back that could easily fit like 3 or 4 water bottles if I ever had to do that.
I think you need a better jacket |

Couldn't you just wedge a bottle between gauges and the windshield? Or you could use a tank bag with a bladder in it, then you wouldn't have anything on your back, but I doubt you'd want that because of the space it takes up. Or just shove it in your jacket, or you can take the weird way and cut a circular hole the tank fairing . There are a few more options for you to consider.

Yeah i agree I was just hoping someone knew something that just like clipped on to the shield or what not.
The jamming meathod works until you hit a bump lol. You can take a guess as to how I know that one LOL. I should fab up a proto and get some feedback.. who knows there maybe a market for it.

I searched around and found this thing. It attaches to the handlebars though.

You could always get a neoprene insulated water bottle sleeve, get a couple of strong earth magnets and stick them inside. Stick your drink to the tank. When you're done with your drink, ball it up and put the sleeve in your pocket.

I think that if you went to a Bicyle shop that you would find something that will work. Bicycle Water Bottle holders come in all sorts of colours and material---aluminum, steel, plastic, carbon fibre, and plastic that looks like carbon fibre. You are looking at a two bolt installation. There are also clamps that would allow mounting on a round or square frame member.
I use a Tank Bag and carry a 12oz Stainless insulated water bottle in the bag. Nate, Just re-read your inquiry. I would bet that a plastic faux carbon fibre bicycle water bottle holder would work inside your fairing or attached to your frame. A stainless steel or brushed aluminum water bottle would look quite nice---depending on how you mount it--people might think you have a Nitrous bottle.

I know it sounds a little odd, but at wal-mart, in the bicycle accessories they have a metal, bottle holder that works great. Or there is thishttp://http://www.lockitt.com/accessories_Cup_Holders.htm

A camelpak won't get all that hot. I have a CP Mule and it works great for mountain biking. My friend likes cold water, so he puts some ice in it before a ride. The pouch has enough insulation to keep it pretty cool for our entire ride. By that I mean the hour plus drive to the trails, gear up, put bikes together, warm up, and the actual 1.5 hour ride in a Texas summer. Not to mention the mule has storage for your wallet, phone, spare keys, a bottled drink, etc. I'd give it a try. Plus you can drink on the move much more easily.

Just remember to blow the water back into the bladder every time you're done drinking, because the water in the exposed tube WILL get warm.

since you don't like backpacks, and your handle bars don't have room to have something clipped on, and your trunk is hella small, I'd say when you walk into the gas station, grab one of those cups they have for coffee (its free), walk into their bathroom, dip the cup in the toilet and get as much water as you want, drink it and be on your way. you won't have to spend money and you won't have to waste the drink.
YAY me for comming up with something so awesome! Blackwidow saved the day

Buy a ram ball mount, arm, and another ball. Then buy a generic cup holder. attach the ball to the cup holder. Boom. done. I use a similar setup to get my coffee to work when I ride the bike. I only go 10 blocks at 25 mph, though.
