Red face Rear Fender thinga majig

Ok so i cant take pictures of the piece now but i will tomorrow.

Porblemooo:

When my bike was lowered from previous owner (i hhad no idea, never compared to another 250 till later on) and i tried riding my little cousin (about 100 punds) around the neighbor hood i started to hear something hitting my back wheel. So i went back home, threw her off the bike, and checked under my seat. BAM, a giant hole torn in the back fender thing (part under the seat and is plastic), and now some wires are exposed.

Questions:

What can i do (no im not going to tape it jiggles and alex.s) to fix it or patch it? Do people even sell that part separately? Can it be replaced or is that attached to the frame?

This is the only part i'm aware of to replace it. I'm sure you can find OEM undertail somewhere though.

I hate how the pregens are so cheap compared to the new gen under tails! Thanks again for the help Will.

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to remove and replace the undertail?

Yezzir, I also know i put alot of work into this bike and removing a under tail wont be any different from some of the hard jobs i did. Especially when your uncle is a mechanic and basically knows everything about everything lol. It will be a long job but its a safety hazard and very annoying to look at when i look at my bike from the back view. ( Very noticiable)

If i end up just patching it with a piece similar to that under tail plastic, like i said, and putting it under the battery area, then it wont require as much work with taking all the sh1t off and putting it back on.

Sorry, man: I gave my stock undertail away at a tech day in exchange for help installing my Sportisi one. Good luck with yours. I don't see them being too important if you waterproof everything else.
