Tail light flickering problem...

Ok so i was riding with a buddy of mine and he told me that my tail light keeps flickering and sometimes just stays off for like 5 secs and then turns back on after a small bump or vibration from the bike. So i start the bike and see that its turned off (the tail light running light) , no tail light. He taps on it and the tail light turns on again. Then tap it again and.... it turns off. Is the whole tail light bad or is it a loose wire? I checked the harness that clicks into the tail light wire and its in all the way. And yes the brake lights works all the time when i press it, its just the running tail light that goes on and off by a tap or bump.

Any one experience this or have any suggestions?

Im going to inspect it thoroughly but id rather get some ideas. Right now im thinking either there is a loose wire, tail light bulb is bad, bad fuse, or whole tail light has gone bad.

I cant really post a picture because that wouldn't really help in anyway, maybe a video. If you dont understand what is going on ill open up a youtube account and post a small video of whats going on with my HTC ONE.

Sounds like a shorted, or loose wire. Grab your multimeter and have at it

Before you go digging into the harness, just replace the bulb and see if that fixes it.

If you know how to use a multimeter ya don't have to tear into anything to find where your problem is... Def could be a wonky bulb, you always start with the simplest step, the bulb. I should post more clearly instead of posting as towards the mechanics I work with
