Friend bent my clip on....

Ok so after successfully teaching a friend some basics and him looking good, i let him go around the neighbor hood. While he was coming back he was going a little fast and braked only with his back brake. He says he landed on the grass and the bike dropped. I didnt see any of this as i was waiting for him in my house. Nothing was wrong with the side he dropped it on ( sounds like it fell while he was probably going like 5 mph on the grass) but the handle bar on the right is bent. I know thats an easy fix and all.

What i want to know is should he go ahead and buy the stock right handle bar for 100$ or is there a good pair of after market clip ons that is equal to or less than 100$ that will give me a little more aggressive riding position? If any one is selling the OEM one please let me know too!

Ill post pictures tomorrow, its 2 a.m now.

You can get woodcraft riser clip ons for about $160. I would fork up the $60 on top of his $100 to get them.

Wait you can remove the bar from the clip on from the stock one? How do you remove the bar from the clip on?

i dont think you can replace the stock bar without replacing the entire thing.

you could also just buy a used oem replacement for like $20.

I looked everywhere, cheapest was like 60$ for a scratchy rusty one. I want one in like New or good condition, not one that was bent back lol. Cheapest one that fits that description is 80$. Idc about the money since he is paying for it, but cheaper would be nice for him as long as the part is not rusty or bent back. 100$ for a brand New one.

I have one off my 2010 in great shape. Shipped for 40. Pic to follow
Bar end is included, but is scratched. I am guessing from leaning up on a wall cause the bike went down on the left. Paint was rubbed off by cables in the other pic.

If he doesn't want it, PM me, I might. Junkyard near here sells em for 45 bucks, or 40, but then there's tax, and going 40 miles to go get it.

i also asked about this not all that long ago. the 1 person that actually had those particular C&C clip ons said there were fitment issues that required some modifications to get them to fit properly.
