Brembo Issues Recall on Brake Pads for Reduced Braking

Manufacturing issues highlighted that could compromise quality

Brembo brakes have become the go-to for performance brake parts—any four and two-wheel vehicle with spirited aspirations will most likely receive a set of shiny Brembos with flashy calipers. Owners of motorcycles fitted with Brembos will have to get their*mechanics hat on or pay a visit to their favorite garage to have the pads checked though, since*Brembo has issued a recall on one of their series.

Brake pad supplier Federal Mogul Italia has advised Brembo that a batch of their pads' quality might have been compromised because of a technical problem that occurred*during the manufacturing process.

The brakes from batch #672 could provide less efficient braking, which in turn could put the rider's safety at risk. To avoid any tragedies, Brembo has decided to recall the entire batch.
