PAINT. Yes or No?

Hey all Im thinking about painting my bike. Ill take some pics of the right side and where its been keyed (literally on every section)

Im debating on these couple options/colors..

VOTE!! and comment

Ill take it all into consideration.

PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICS (the keyed areas I couldnt get a shot of. To much of a glare..

I vote Gloss black with kawi /lime green rims and decals. Personally I'm not a fan of flat black on bikes. I love flat black on certain cars but I've never seen a bike I liked in all flat black.

Yeah I asked the guy, but he did everyone elses accept mine

If you do head towards flat black, I suggest using plasti-dip.
$6 dollars a can, matte black finish, easily reversible, EVEN if you mess up.
I've used it on my car, and might use it on the ninjette in the future.

Great stuff this plasti-dip!

Yeah I might try that first. Its no biggie in all honesty. My company has a Paint Booth (we make them) and I can totally use it whenever... So Ill actually be using real paint and that will be my biggest cost..

Ill prolly be doing it myself though and im not an expert painter, and matte colors show less defects.

btw where are you dude? are in you Sac or the Bay?

ha im not tripping though when the rain hits is when Ill start tearing into the bike and painting it and putting on upgrades and such.

meh bikes are so small though me and a buddy can knock it out in a day prolly.

but yeah I dig all white as well as all black..

all white would get gold rims for sure though...

yeah white an gold would look good

and yeah thats what me an my friend thought but we were wrong lol

took me friday afternoon(sanding)
sat(sanding/primering)
sun(gloss coats)

and then had to let fairings dry for 24hrs until i could put them on again

We have our top of the line paint booth on site... I will be using this. prep will take the most time. paint will take maybe an hour if im doing a single stage. I think cure time is 30 minutes on it.

That means no waiting to put it back on. As soon as its painted I throw the booth in cure and when its up I can take everything out and start putting it back on.

not really any of your previous options but heres a couple things Ive been toying around with for mine. When i get a chance i can Photoshop an example of what your leaning towards just let me know what that would be.

Just using Photoshop CS5. I was also leaning towards the white one still dont know though still in the brain storming stage.

Well I voted glossy black with gold wheels, but that's because I didn't see white with gold wheels.

but yeah the only part of the Photoshop stuff that would be difficult is all the colors. I will only be shooting single colors because multiple colors WOULD no doubt be a long weekend/week process.

I wanna bang this out in a day.

But seriously white is awesome. but I was leaning towards black..

So im even more torn now..

i'd just respray it with the original color just b/c it would be the quickest/easiest

but if I have the fairing and the cowl off. there isnt the much more that I need to take off... besides I want to respray everything since its been keyed... So now would be the time to experiment and have fun with another color.

If I went white I think Id go gold.

man Im torn idk... haha Ill figure out something. I got another month or so before I tackle the project...

But also I LOVE how clean one simple color looks with the only things popping are the ninja decals and levers and rims and such. More colors make it look to buys imo.

The two colors besides red I would consider are black (matte and gloss) and white. Like a pearl white.
