Question Need a Windscreen for my 1986 Ninja 250

Been searching high and low for a windscreen for my 1986 Ninja 250 but I cannot seem to find one. The only ones that I can find are for the 1988 and up models of the Ninja 250. Is it possible to use one of those or there other options for this?

Thanks
Tom

Yes! It's possible to use windscreen from '88-07 pre-gen on '86-87 1st-gen. Here's an '87 I rescued in boxes.

Put it all back together

Ended up using headlight, windscreen and mirrors from pre-gen.

Bolt upper holes together and you'll see lower holes don't quite line up. I marked from back side where to drill new hole in windscreen to fit. Thinking back, I should've marked from front and drilled new hole in fairing. Then final result would've been cleaner without unused original hole in windscreen visible.

OK, thank you for the info I that. How does it work to block the wind and cut down on the wind noise going through the helmet?

Thanks
Tom

works pretty well. I bought taller "double bubble" screen that's about 2" taller.

Good article on this bike:
