[motorcycle.com] - Four Affordable Jackets From Tour Master/Cortech

Tour Master, and sister brand Cortech, have a total of four jackets for 2014, all well under $250. The Tour Master line consists of the Saber Series 3, Jett Series 3, and Draft Air jacket, while Cortech’s latest is the GX Sport 3 jacket. Keep reading for details on each.

Saber Series 3 ($159.99, pictured above)

The Saber Series 3 is a dependable touring jacket with 600 denier Carbolex construction. The three-quarter-length shell features a Rainguard waterproof and breathable barrier. The soft microfiber collar feels nice against the neck, while the zippered chest, sleeve, and rear exit vents provide plenty of ventilation. It features a host of straps, zippers and velcro to ensure a snug fit, and the removable CE-approved armor at the elbows and shoulders, combined with the triple-density back protector help absorb impact in a fall. Complete with a zip-out quilted liner and a plethora of pockets, it’s ready to go anywhere. *Available in Black/Black, Red/Black and Silver/Black in sizes S-3XL.

Jett Series 3 ($169.99 adult, $144.99 youth)

The Jett Series 3 is a lighter-duty touring jacket, but still retains many of the same features as the Saber Series 3, like the 600 denier Carbolex shell, Rainguard waterproof and breathable barrier, microfiber collar, shoulder, sleeve, and rear exit vents. Reflective piping completely surrounds the jacket for better visibility at night, and adjustable sleeve take-up straps at the forearm and bicep help keep the armor in place. Speaking of which, the Jett comes with elbow and shoulder armor, and a triple-density back protector. A zip-out, quilted liner and a number of pockets mimics that of the Saber. Available in Black, Blue, Red, Silver and Steel Blue, it comes in both adult and youth sizes.

Draft Air Jacket ($159.99)

The Draft air is perfect for the summer months, as its armor-link mesh material combined with 600 denier Carbolex in impact areas creates a well-ventilated garment that helps keep rider protected. Phoslite*360º reflective piping and Tour Master’s signature reflective rear triangle help increase nighttime visibility, while removable CE-approved armor at the elbow and shoulders also features an articulated triple-density back protector for impact protection. The draft air comes with a waterproof, removable liner, and a slew of pockets.*Available in Black, Blue, Red and Silver in men’s sizes: S-3XL.

Cortech GX Sport 3 Jacket ($224.99)

Cortech, Tour Master’s more sporty sibling, brings us this GX Sport 3 jacket. Designed with the sport rider in mind, the performance-cut, 600 denier Carbolex shell incorporates 1680 denier ballistic polyester material in elbows and shoulders. The sleeves are also pre-curved for greater comfort in the riding position. Soft microfiber trim in the Mandarin-style collar feels nice against the neck, while a Rainguard barrier keeps the jacket waterproof and breathable.*Waterproof zippered chest vents combine with sleeve vents and rear exhaust vents to provide flow-through ventilation. Reflective piping helps you been seen at night. Impacts in a fall are partially absorbed by CE-approved armor in the elbows and shoulders, combined with a triple-density back protector. Also equipped with a quilted liner, numerous pockets, and zips for compatible pants, it’s available in men’s sizes: XS-4XL and tall sizes MT-3XT.
