Chone is on the right track with this, you could grind down the front mount on the cylinder head but I didn’t I went with the 300 bracket. As far as what fuel system I’m using: 250 with the stock pregen carbs, I am on the fence about getting the k&n filter.
As far as that starter question you have to use the correct start per motor, I had to buy the 300 starter because I thought the 250 would fit until I tried it and I got a big fat wrongggg

@GreasedLissik, for the radiator, I used the pregen radiator with my newgen engine because it made the mounting much easier with the body panels. Additionally, the area of each radiator wasn't terribly different.

I'm not sure about the 300 engine's physical shape, but if I was in your shoes and the area of the 300 radiator isn't horribly different from the area of the 250 radiator, I'd consider using the pregen 250 radiator. I only had to make a couple small brackets for the right side and it was quick.

FYI: I no longer have a motorcycle in the fleet, so I'm working all of memory here.

All the electrics plug in. You will need to change the exhaust. And the upper motor mount is different. And the radiator mounts to the upper mount. I would use a new mount and change the radiator mounting tabs.

Also the metal coolant tube coming out of the top new engine is curved. The old gen pipe is streight. Use a new o ring and sealer when replacing this as it tends to be tricky to seal.

If you run pod filters use the rubber manifolds from a new gen as they are shorted and tuned for the engine .

There are a couple little things I might
Be forgetting . But I think that's it.
All motor mount fit just fine even the radiator.
