Exclamation Hose Connected to Air Box

Okay so I'm trying to put my air box on and I'm not sure where the hose that is attached to the air box goes. It has a flat rectangle shape. Help!!!!

It doesn't go anywhere. Oil can get into the airbox and you're supposed to remove that little plug on the bottom to drain it if it fills up.

I figured that out right after I posted. My other question is do you know what goes in the hole under the airbox. My bf took it apart so I don't know what's what.

Looks like a threaded hole that a bolt goes into but I have no idea what.

Word to the wise, don't let someone monkey with your bike if they don't know what they're doing, or if they're going to do half the job and make you finish an unfamiliar task that you've never done before.

Good luck with your bike!

He's not just some random person... and he knows what he's doing. I didn't watch him disconect it. That being said, it's my bike not his which is why I'm the one putting it back together. I have to learn some how.

I didn't call him a monkey. I said he was monkeying with your bike.

It'd also be pretty weird if I'd let someone else disassemble something I'm not familiar with without me watching, and then try to put it back together myself. When I wanted to learn more about my bike, I took it apart myself in order to get an idea of where things went when I reassemble it.

I figured you'd get your boyfriend's help if he knew what he was doing. It's not difficult to see why I came to the conclusion that I did. So, go get his help.

That is the crankcase vent, there's an odd shaped hose that goes from that nipple to the nipple on the bottom of the airbox, on the right side.

and welcome to the board!

Negative. I'm not sure if it's true on your model, but on the newer ones, it's somewhat S or question-mark shaped, with a taper that's larger on the gearbox side.

Yep that's what the pre-gens have too. Here's a link to BikeBandit's parts fish, it's "A" #92059, they're the same from 1988 to 2007 I believe.
