Hello, I have a 2008 Ninja 250r, I live in CO, Live in the denver/boulder area. new to riding about 5 months under my belt had a '90 ex500 for about 6 months but sold to a buddy and since have been riding a cousins '17 ninja 636 (LOVE THAT BIKE) but I know Things happen and being a farly new rider id rather dump or learn things the hard way on a $800 bought 250 rather than a $3000+ bike if that makes sense. I've worked on cars all my life, worked in the car dealership world (GM) (5.5 yrs tech, 6 months advisor). Any questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome, here are just a few things to think about,
1.Get trained and licensed MSF Courses 2.ALWAYS Wear protective gear -- ATGATT All The Gear, All The Time -- including a helmet manufactured to the standards set by a government agency. 3.ALWAYS Ride unimpaired by alcohol or other drugs 4.ALWAYS Ride within your own skill limits and road conditions. 5.Be a lifelong learner by taking refresher rider courses, and advanced rider course A.R.C. https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=218237 https://www.ninjette.org/forums/show...8&postcount=26 A.T.G.A.T.T. so I may ride another day.

Hello Josh, it's good to meet you. I like your logic. Heck, I've been riding for just about 40 years and I often choose the Ninja 250 over other motorcycles I own when I want to go for a ride. For street riding, power is overrated.
