New boots, slight problem
So today I visited the goodwill where my sister works and noticed a pair of full length fox dirtbike boots (yes they aren't really motorcycle boots but I figure they'll protect me a hell of a lot better than the sneakers I've been wearing) for a steal of a price that I could actually afford so naturally I bought them.
now the problem is, the fit is great and they're comfortable enough but I keep missing shifts and I can't shift wearing them. normally I would just flick my ankle around and shift with a natural ease but now that I can't move my ankle freely I need to figure out how to shift properly while wearing them. obviously there are others here who wear full length boots so I was wondering if anyone could help me out here on what kind of movement I should be going for to get my foot under the peg. even if it's just "adjust the shift lever up and you're good to go" |

If it's not impossible to shift than they're working just fine, sneakers will shift easier as your ankle isn't being locked, your ankle is being locked in the boot to protect it, immobility is a trade off.
Wear them every day for a few weeks, you'll get used to them, and they will loosen up. |

You can always try a different foot position. Best form is to put the balls of your feet on the peg. Try resting your feet in different positions on the pegs and see what works best.
