Digital Tire Pressure Monitor

I was just browsing for stuff and I ran into this:
http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/moto...or-system.html

If you have a garage I think this is like a must have.

If you've ever paid attention to your gas mileage or had a brush with death because of low air pressure you'll know why.

Edit: I guess you don't have to keep the monitor in the garage it's wireless!!! Will buy...

That is pretty awesome. If it was in the $40-$50 range, it would be an instant buy.

None of those are a great idea. The way it reads the pressure, it needs to depress the tire valve full-time, and the seal is now just whether it's screwed on tightly enough. So you're getting the pressure readings continuously, but you're that much more likely to actually lose pressure over time, by disabling one of the things that helps keep the tire air-tight.

Well I think you would have to test it to see if that was the case to make the final call

Motorcycle Consumer News tested all of them, and came to that conclusion. It's a bad design. If you want tire pressure monitoring, have it installed on the rim, inside the tire, just like all of the OEM systems. These addon replacements for the tire cap are crap.

Good to know. I won't be buying these afterall. Maybe for a bicycle though...
