Hello from Western Australia!
Hi everyone, I'm Neil, living in the mid west, about four hours drive north of Perth, Western Australia.
I have recently bought a 2007 Ninja 250 (last of the carb models) for my wife and am looking to convert into a café racer. I have never done a project like this before so I hope some of you guys will be able to help me along the way with your expert advice. Cheers Neil |

Here's best café conversion I've seen yet to give you some ideas.
https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=117957 Personally i would chop off lower subframe and weld it up more vertical closer towards front so seat is more cantilevered over rear tyre. |

Thank you guys for the warm welcome and your suggestions. I have just bought a KZ 650 tank (mint condition inside, and pretty good outside too) from Wisconsin, so I hope this will solve my tank issue.
I'll start adding pics as the project takes shape - currently in pieces and awaiting my powder coating place to re-pen after Xmas - wheels, swing arm and a few other pieces will be matt black; I will be spraying tank metallic purple with retro Kawasaki badging. See image. Slightly anxious as this is my first bike rebuild project. Wish me luck and watch this space! |
