Cool Philly suburbs..

Since no one was taking the advantage of a super nice Friday, as inquired in the Philly, PA STAT Ride thread,

I rode out on my own with my 'faster' vehicle to visit the Green Hill Farm:

What an interesting women/place to visit, Pearl S. Buck was the only person who's ever won the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature. Read all about her in the link above.

On my way home, I stopped along the Skippack village, usually packed with tourists, traffic would back up severely, but on a nice Friday afternoon, not many were there:

Saw this little Italian Gem at the fancy garage in Skippack, I badly wanted to hear what it sounds like reving at 6000 rpm:

Cool

I saw '2500cc' painted on body:

Looks like a straight 6 engine from the carb/exhaust arrangement:

That's a big wooden steering wheel:

Looks like an Alfa Romero Tipo 158/9 but the exhaust is on the wrong side. I dunno?

Good find on a nice ride and great photos.

How do you like your Blackbird? If I were to get a GT bike I think that might be right at the top of my list.

D'oh! I need to check out the Rides room more often. I was working on Friday, but it was a great day. Where exactly were you at? I can't place any of those pictures.

Not sure what Alfa model it was, but certainly looks classic to me..

Blackbird was inherited from a former service buddy of mine.. it's a sleeper until you really open it up.. rock solid and butter smooth even at 150 mph. It is really an under-appreciated bike. Hayabusa or ZX-14 may have more HP or torque.. but no as refine for long distance cruising at triple digit speed.
Though carbureted, starts every time even after sitting for months in the winter.
These Hondas were well made and built to last, they went all out to eliminate the engine vibration on the Blackbird.
