Tyga full exhaust leak issue
Installed my new tyga full exhaust today but noticed I could feel air near the linkages. I installed everything correctly with the springs and used a rubber mallet to make sure the pipes seated well. Is this something I can leave or would an exhaust heat wrap help? Should I just get the linkages welded? Not a fan of the springs but they were really tight and a bitch to get on there

Strange, I have no such air leakage on mine. Is this on all of the linkages?
But hahaha yea, those springs were a real b**** |

It's where the headers meet the straight pipe

If I were you I would pm bill (tygausa) about it and get his input. Or ask tyga themselves. There shouldn't be air leak, and if its something that's fine, they will be able to answer your questions.
I would think heat wrap could work, but it would be much better to talk to them first. |

I just installed the Tyga full exhaust myself, and yes, those springs were a b***h, I even broke one. But, no such exhaust leaks for me, sorry

so this is what TYGA sent me-
Sometimes you'll have a minor leak where the slip fits are - and carbon buildup over a short period of time tends to seal things up. You might try loosening up the manifold bolts and mounting bolts a touch, giving it all a good wiggle to settle in, then retighten the various bolts. I've had success getting a perfect union/fit this way. |

Not to jack the thread, but I also have had a small leak right at the connection between my slip-on (Danmoto) and header pipe...have rode it as is for about 200 miles or so and am still waiting for it seal itself...I'll definitely look into heat wraps (there's a good one at autozone is what I hear). Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for saving me the trouble of opening a new thread

FYI
About a month ago i ordered my tyga full exhaust and they sent me two of the same side header.. i was able to get it to fit still ( not knowing i had the wrong piece) and it had a pretty bad leak.. i tried a few things to stop the leak but nothing worked...soooo i called tyga and asked if both pieces were supposed to be exactly the same and they said no.. i immidiatly told them i had 2 of the same side and they sent me a new one priority mail. I got the new one in and everything fits perfect.

A little Permatex Ultra Copper would probably seal it right up. I used it on my SV slip-on.

When I bought my Two Brothers cans, they included RTV high temp sealant and instructed me to use it wherever pipes met. I've never had any leaks.
That might work for you. |
