Keeping your ears warm

Any ideas? It's not even that cold out and my ears felt like they were about to freeze off....

A Balaclava seems like one option, but most are too thin to keep my ears warm.

Thin yes, but they make a big diffidence.
You want thin so your helmet still fits.

Thanks for the reply, surprised that even though it's thin it could make a big difference.

Do you use one?

Yes sir.
It holds your ears to your head and cuts air flow

Baclava works great for me. Unless your riding in sub freezing for a serious amount of time maybe. 35 degree and my 40 minute commute and im fine. Close your vents on the heltmet, tuck in the neck portion and zipper your jacket all the way up. As long as no air creeps in there at speed, your good.

Neck warmers are good for closing up the gap between your jacket and your helmet.

I was using a scarf, but I found a nice thick, loose fitting, neck warmer that I think is doing as good job of keeping air out of my helmet. I now have better movement for looking around.

never had a problem with my ears getting chilled before. My helmet has always been more than enough. My helmet fits me very well.

My grandmother would make the walnut baclava every christmas, damn that was the best desert ever and couldn't wait till the next christmas for more.

I have the klim balaclava and use it down to below freezing and my ears are comfortably warm but at speed the neck starts hurting from the extreme cold and might have to get a goiter just for the extreme cold temps this winter.

The whole thing is solid black and not multi colored.
