Having a problem mounting Area P exhaust to passenger peg

So today i installed my Area P exhaust, i'm a mechanic noob but it wasn't too bad. I'm stumped though, i'm finding it's difficult, very difficult to mount the exhaust to the peg.

I can't for the life of my wrench the bolt through. Should I take the washer out? Directions say to use the area p washer provided, but I never remember coming across one.

Make sure the bolts in straight. If its not in the threading correctly it could be very hard to tighten and mess up the threads.

I'm not necessarily having trouble tightening it, only half of the bolt has threading on it, and the half closest to the head is naked. So it'll get it in, and it'll just come out

It was a pain in the ass for mine too. The only way we got around it was to mount the clap off the bike first so you can get the shape easier

Do you happen to have a pic of what the spacer looks like that Area P provides? I either didn't receive it, or its somewhere where I put all the nuts and bolts
