2012 650r?

Found this online on another forum. Think this bike is the real deal? i am highly interested if so. The more i look at it, the more it seems photoshopped. Any news on the next 650r? looking to upgrade soon and there are an overwhelming amount of choices

The new 650r's have a magnetic pulsating stabilizer which allows the bike to stand up while stopped without a kickstand

Someone definitely did a poor job of Photoshopping a new gen 250's tail on that sucker...in fact that's full of horrible photoshopping technique.

It's photoshopped cause that's the 250's tail on that 650.

Even if it's bad photoshop technique, it looks 10x better than the 650R.

Even with this "not well done" picture, someone should send this to Kawasaki and say

"see, look how good it looks! Now build it!"

The split seat looks a lot nice than the banana seat....

I don't understand Kawi. In Canada we have the 400r and 650r which look the exact same with the gay banana seat, yet the 400r has grab bars but not the 650....Wouldn't it make sense to put them on the higher powered because people are more likely to ride 2up on the 650r??

There are rumors that the 2012 model will be redesigned, like they did for the 09. Who's to say they won't go with the split seat? It would make sense, as they did the original 650 from 06 - 08, and the current gen is 09-11, so why not after 3 model years change it again?

As far as the grab bars, they are available on the 650. Keep in mind that the 400 is the same everything as the 650. The only difference being that it has a resleeved engine for lower CCs.

A friend toured the factory in Thailand for the Er-6n production line. They were very strict on no cameras and no Q+A.

He said: It's between a speed-triple and Z1000 in looks. Split seat, aluminium swing arm (not off the Versys). He said it looks great. They mentioned better TQ with the same HP.

I live in Thailand.

If it were real, I'd probably be saving up money to buy it. Eventually. Not any time soon, of course.

The most obvious tell even without Photoshop anomalies is that it has a passenger seat with no passenger pegs. Doh!

Edit: Oh. those are folded passenger pags extending from the rider pegs, right?

I'm torn on this subject.

I want a 650r only because I want to be able to two up better. Otherwise I'm perfectly happy with my 250r.

Banana seats are the best for two up riding imo making the 650r a great option. If it had a raised seat, I would almost rather just buy a zx6r and I feel this would be a popular situation.

Sure raised seat is much better for solo riding and looks a million times better, but I don't know if it's something I'd be happy with in the end on the 650r as a 'sports touring' bike.

Look in closer on the seat, much more out of focus and blurry than the rest of the bike, yes we all know its a photoshop but could have been done better, looks sick though!

Ok, I was reading more in the thread and he does admit to making the photo but turns out he claims he used MSpaint and doesn't know how to use photoshop.

That says to me that he has talent since I believe that MSpaint is a little harder to get a really good quality pic like that compared to photoshop. But I could be wrong since I've never used photoshop myself.

Here are a few more he did with different tails:
