What mods have you done to your 250r?

Starting to look into modding my 2012 250. A few things I am looking at:

Slip On exhaust.
Washer Mod.
Aftermarket Rear Sets.
Chain.
Solo Cowl.
Integrated Tail Light.
Fender Eliminator.

My favorite color is pink,(yes, I know it's cliché) so looking to add a few subtle pink accents to it. I was hoping to find a pink 520 chain, but so far have only been able to find a purple one. I was also trying to find a pink bolt kit , but no luck. All I have found are pink crystal valve covers, aaaaand those will not be going on my bike.

Looking for ideas, so share what you have done with your 250! My bike is black, and so far the only "mod" I have done is to pull the yellow pinstripe decals off. ( I know a few of you may gasp)

I am also playing with the idea of Plasti-dipping my wheels fluorescent pink. Nice thing about that is if I don't like it or want to sell the bike, it just peels off and I will have my black wheels back.

Looking forward to the feedback!

@Alex, not trying to be the board police and point out the obvious but this thread is regarding the 250 and is in the 300 section.

Just trying to do my part and keep the streets clean.. ya dig?

Yes, it's shimming the carb needles. I have read about some doing it and starting off with one washer, maybe 2, and up to 3 if they have aftermarket exhaust. Curious to see who has done it, and if they had any significant benefit from it.

I did most mods for performance or function. A few were for looks only.

Performance:
  • AreaP full exhaust (better than a slip-on by FAR)
  • Fueling to take advantage of the exhaust. That meant:
    • Jet kit (which includes new needles)
    • K&N panel filter
    • Kleen Air delete
    • Snorkel removal
    • Idle screw adjustments

Function:
  • Clip-ons
  • Rearset adjusters
  • Seat cowl (more space in the tail but it looks good too)
  • Double-bubble windscreen
  • Preload adjusters

Looks
  • Swingarm cover and hugger
  • Fender eliminator
  • Removal of passenger pegs

By the time I was done I LOVED MY BIKE. Significant improvements to power, ergonomics and appearance.

Today I was replacing the brake/clutch levers and my torque wrench snapped the brake lever bolt in half...

I got my 2011 with most of the mods I would do, already done. A 2 Brothers slip-on, LED taillight conversion and a rear fender eliminator.

the one thing It didn't have was the 15 tooth countershaft conversion, which I did last night. I like it! It's obvious the gearing is so low for beginners to be able to pretty much dump the clutch (which they do a lot ) to not have the bike stall and fall over.

Being old, I would have gone with a 16, but at 5000 altitude, there is a 22% HP loss, and I knew it wouldn't pull it. 90mph with my 200lb lard ass is all she will do up here.......
