Brave a mystery? 1987 Ninja 250

Saw this while looking through the parts side of CL..

http://stockton.craigslist.org/mpo/4685226306.html

Now I'm not in Stockton so this is mostly a thought game vs genuine interest. But for $225, would it worth poking into for a truly rare old bike and restore/maintain it?

What would you risk on a vague ad if it meant a classic could find its way to you?

Thoughts?

Sounds interesting... But no title! Save your time and money (even though the seller crunk it up a couple of weeks ago).

Yeah the no title and no key threw it out for me anyway.

Just thought it'd be an interesting conversation starter on CL's version of barn finds.

This is the time of year to pick up a barn find. My "fantasy find" would be a Moto Guzzi Eldorado or Ambassador.
