Strange Spring Cleaning Discoveries

So I go out to take the Ninja off the charger and de-winterize it and I notice pine needles sticking out from underneath the seat cowl.

You know where this is going.

Little sucker gnawed a hole in my Stop & Go tire repair kit too. I think he was using it as the master suite.
He wasn't in there long and there was no evidence of damaged wiring or anything else after I removed the nest, but I shudder to think what would have happened if the bike was in long-term storage for several yeras.

Make sure you check the rest of the bike and wires!! There is a small hole that leads the turn sig wires down to the battery area. They could have gone down there also!

Next year put some tasty poison around the bike before the winter.

Check the air box, if you still have one. I've found them living in there several times. Makes the bike run really bad.

I had two baby rats in my under-seat storage last year. The mother ate my vehicle registration. I have kept it in my pocket ever since. I don't have to worry about that on the ZX since there is NO damn under-seat storage.

P.S. Georgia has no riding season, because you can comfortably* ride all year long.

*People's definition of comfortable is wide-ranging and the above statement may not apply to everyone.

I bought my bike in WV and rode it home to GA in August, '08. I took my MSF course in GA in July/August. I commuted to and from work on it until December when I got fed up and rode it to San Diego (even some days in Sept/Oct were FREEZING cold when commuting late at night). I lived in GA my entire life before that, so I was perfectly used to it, just not on a bike and loaded up with gear.
