At Deal's Gap... Where should I ride?

So I've been staying at a chalet just off US 129 since this past Monday. I'm here for another 2 days. I've been running the Dragon a number of times. I know how to ride my bike hard/fast enough to scrape pegs, but I haven't been doing that here. With 2 guys dying this past Saturday, and another one on the Cherohala (apparently), I don't really have a desire to push that hard. I'll save it for the track, as awesome as it would be to drag my knee for the first time here.

The guys I'm staying with have already ridden Cherohala Skyway, which I'd like to ride if I can convince them to do it again. I rode the Blue Ridge Parkway down here, the US 28 (Hellbender), south end of US 129, and Blood Mountain in Georgia.

Suggestions and advice are appreciated!

Awww If i knew you were down there, I was just there on Tuesday riding. I only live about an hour away. I'd go to the tail of the dragons website, and there are some more roads to ride suggested there. I highly suggest the Cherohala Skyway (take a jacket) its very nice, I'd rather ride it than the dragon anyday. Just be careful out there.

You can try these routes. They all start at Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort.

Blood mountain is an awesome ride, isn't it?

Look up Wayah road, too.

Also, the road between Franklin and Highlands is nice, with a great stop at Bridal Veil Falls.
