Get ready for it..... she is a beauty!

And here is the darling I dream about.

j/k

I actually like the MTT Y2K Turbine bike. It isn't the most practical thing in the universe, but it sure is cool. I just love the sound of an Allison turbine engine spooling up!

When I worked at a shop in the 80s we bought (and sold) a ton of the 2nd generation (pearl with some blue/purple IIRC) that Honda couldn't move at the MSRP. Cool bike, is that 24 valves to adjust. IIRC you have to loosen the engine and pivot it forward to adjust the valves. I think they had 3 carbs.

I had the Cycle or Cycle World magazine with that Honda 6 on it when it came out. Benelli also made a 6 and called it the Sei.

Honda did build a 6 cyl bike years before the CBX. It was a 250 road racer, the RC166.

For me, it would probably be a bike that is painted in a color that would probably require me to surrender my man card.

Heck, it would probably be another Ninja 250, at the rate I'm going!

Beat me to it.

I want this exact bike. Too bad it belongs to another ninjette member.

Thats going to be out of my price range for a few years, so my next bike will probably be an older SV650.

I have to admit, I didn't think some of my choices would be listed here, especially the Triumph Sprint ST. It very well could be my next motorcycle (250 for commuting around town, Sprint for distance). I also love the Daytona 675, but haven't seen a color scheme that really grabs me yet. The red would be my choice so far.

Another bike mentioned here, the NT700, fits my needs perfectly. The only problems: It's ugly as all get-out and way overpriced. For another $1,800, I can have the Sprint ST - it's no contest. Now, were the NT700 around $7K and better-looking, it would be a real contender.

I'm just the opposite, I think that the Triumph is ugly and the Kawi is great looking. I like the more futuristic cutting edge look of the Z1000 over the bug faced look of the Triumph. But hey, that's just me.

Here's what I want, a Kawasaki ZZR600:

New technology? Looks like a torsion bar setup to me. Circa late '80s Ford trucks.

I saw a video of this road tested before (or one just like it). IIRC, it was all about bling, and handled like crap because it doesn't have a traditional fork.

My dream bike list would fill a 500 page book. Hence the "every bike I don't own yet" response on the first page.

The real dream would be to have 1 bike for ever day of the year....with spares of course.

I drool over the Triumph Street Triple R as my next bike. Is it my dream bike? For now, yes.

But I still want to learn the skills to be able to ride a ZX14 someday.

The skills are pretty easy. You put a tank bag on it, throw a bag on the tail and take off on the highway on tour.

Oh yeah, use your brain and respect the power.

Drool.

This just surfaced. The 2011 Ducati Monster 796.

Better images here:

I'm not hugely into standards, but I have to say that's one sexy beast. Light, compact and it must be torquey as h*ll.

Wow, I figuered it was just gonna be the 696 with more bore and/or stroke. Didn't realized single sided swingarm would be part of the package.

Ah hell, I guess it is my dream bike currently. Can't think of anything or anyone I'd rather ride right now.
I'm pretty easy to please. It will be done. I'm going to park it in my living room.. and put a yosh on it.

+1 on the BMW S1000RR. The only thing I don't like about it (other than the price) is the front headlights. But other than that, it is a beautiful machine. Another reason I like them is because they are somewhat exclusive.

I've known a few people who have had Ducs, and they all say the same thing. Great track bike, not so good street bike (comfort wise).

I do like the speed triple as well. If I were in the market for this, I would also consider the new Z1000.
