I need two bluetooth headsets at a discount!

Hey guys, me and my girlfriend just got our bikes this week, and she has 0 experience! I'm looking to buy two headsets like the Sena smh5 for slightly cheaper than they come new.. figured they would help out a lot in teaching her about what to look for and how fast to take corners, etc.. If anybody has one or a couple they can let go of let me know!
Thanks in advance

Have you looked at the Scala Rider G9 Headset?

Yeah I've seen them on eBay while trying to find a deal, they are outta my price range.. I'm looking to spend around 150 for both headsets, and the g9's are about that each.. Even used :/

You're going to be extremely hard pressed to find something for $150 a pair. You're looking at an average of $150 each for almost all bluetooth headsets.

Its about $40 over your limit, but if you are looking at the SMH5, I'd recommend looking at the SMH5-FM. With the recent firmware update Sena provided, the range is increased and a few speed dial spaces are added. The next update coming soon will enable Sena's to connect universally to other brand bluetooth headsets.

The dual pack from Revzilla: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/s...-mic-dual-pack

I'm actually in a bidding war on ebay for those! Thanks for the info on them, I didn't even know there was a difference. Picked up a Scala Teamset for 120 but it has trouble connecting at two feet, so I'm shopping around again lol

Congrats on the win!

One of the neat things about the headset is is can be used while charging. If you two end up riding all day and the battery does go dead, here's a suggestion if you don't have a plug on the bike (or instead of plugging into your bike).

Check out the little power packs from any cell phone or electronic store (see Radio Shack's version). Charge it up over night, stick it in your jacket's inside pocket or similar and run the USB cable up to your shoulder. When the headset dies, at the next stop, simply plug it in and you're good to go.

I get about 8 hours out of my headset depending on how heavy I am using the Bluetooth vs FM vs phone.

Enjoy your rides together!
