DiY Fender Eliminator and Exhaust Hack Job

Tell me what you guys think. I gutted the muffler and put some steel wool in there to make the tone a little deeper. The Fender job was harder then it looked. LED Turn Signals too! ^.^

It's Legal, the License plate is visible from 500 feet i think the law is, from behind and from "all" rear directions, so like a 45 degree angle.

There's some white LED's on the passenger foot pegs pointed up towards the plate but you can't really see em in that pic.

I'll have to find my wife's video camera but ill get to it this weekend sure. Sounds great, almost like a Dan Moto but not quite as loud since I put some steel wool in there.

Steel wool is not a great idea. It will both burn up over time, and rust your muffler from the inside out. There is actual muffler packing to do the job, it's worth doing it right.

I was considering putting some fiberglass in there and a perforated tube, but the tube on the inside of the muffler doesn't come straight out, it points to the wall of the muffler itself, any advice? Also I riveted the Chrome end cap back onto the can so it wont be pretty taking it back off. We get rain about once every 2-3 months here where i live currently, Yuma AZ, so im not too worried about rust.
