KTM UK has introduced a deposit scheme so riders can guarantee they secure a 1290 Super Duke R for the start of 2015.

The scheme was launched after demand outstripped supply in the UK during 2014, leaving some customers unable to secure a 1290.

To participate, riders need to go to their local dealer and place an order with a minimum deposit of £300. After an order is placed, KTM UK will confirm the order and a planned production date.

During the waiting period, the customer will receive a free 2015 trackday and a Super Duke R outdoor cover.

KTM UK Marketing Manager, Simon Belton, said:? 'The reason for the Deposit Scheme is to make sure that a rider who wants a 1290 Super Duke R can easily get their hands on one and from their choice of KTM dealer. As great as we know the 1290 is, we were definitely caught off guard with the level of demand for the bike and this will eradicate the frustration of not having what you want, when you want it!'

Available in Orange and Black with a two-year warranty and year’s free breakdown cover, the 1290 costs £13,999 OTR.
