Thanks Alex.

The only people that seem to be going (from this group) are Akira and Dooby.

Aye. Planning to convoy with a friend, expecting to head from the A1 onto the A14 shortly after 7am. Happy to see if we can specify a waiting point if others want to join us. I expect we might want to refuel just before arriving also.

Cheers, Pete

Weather Forecast

I think that I'm going to decide on my attendance nearer the date. It's a 2hr ride for me, so if the forecast is wet ... I'll probably stay home and watch the GP instead.

Weather

I'm still watching the weather. If it looks OK for a ride there (and back), then I'm coming. But ... I'm not coming on the Ninjette, I'll be on the Versys, with my wife on the back.

Yeah it's not looking as dry as I hoped...

I will *probably* go either way, but I am a little apprehensive given the advice that Donington is particularly slippery in the wet due to the aviation fuel dumped by the planes landing/taking off next door :-(

Cheers, Pete

I suspect that the stories of lack of traction due to avgas on the track are probably just excuses. Let's face it, if aircraft were openly dumping enough avgas to create slippery conditions, there'd probably be an environmental officer somewhere that would like a word.

But, the forecast looks as if it's improving ... so I'm probably going to be there. Targeting arrival at 0900h-1000h.

Well it was another great event this year. Managed not to meet up with any Ninjette members :-( Saw one green 250R and one black 300 - think she was out on track with her friend tailing her on a 600 for one of my sessions.

Separate thread with footage etc. for those interested over here:

Again, great day - sorry not to have been able to have a Ninjettes group out there :-(

Cheers, Pete

Yup

I was there ... on the Versys ... with my wife on the back. We arrived shortly after 0900h and left at around 1300h (wanted to get back to watch Wimbledon Men's Final - which was awesome).

Pete's right, it was a great event. My wife and I did the ATV (quad bike), which was pretty good fun. First time I've been on one, and I enjoyed it.

I already wrote an email to Kawasaki Customer Services saying how much I enjoyed it and how much I appreciate such activities. It's one of the reasons that my bikes are both Kawasaki.
