Safest way to carry a baby

OK, it's 40 degrees and raining and i'm a punk so, yeah, I'll put her in a pickup.
I got tie downs buit she has no rear shocks and just these cute lil' bars.
Never had to carry a pretty bike before. In your experience, friends....are there points on the bike that I should be strapping to, yeah, I can probably take some plastic off if necessary...it's a 600 mile + drive on a rainy day-night.
Like i said...never carried a bike with plastic before...any guidance ?

Canyon Dancer or Cycle-Cinch for the bars, another set of tie-downs to the rear pegs have worked fine for me.

Canyon Dancers are available at many cycle shops, call around and see who has them in stock; they are pretty ubiquitous. I prefer the cycle cynch, but I've only seen those mail order.

This looks like it'll work just fine.
Might come in a tankbag version too.
