Ottawa Earthquake

About an hour ago there was a 5.0 Earthquake near Ottawa Canada. I have not heard yet of any damage. I hope everyone near the quake is allright.

In Ottawa nothing to huge has happened. But apparently there was some damage just outside the little town where the epicentre hit.

I was sitting at work having a meeting when all of a sudden everything started to vibrate. Our building is directly located next to the 417 and the Train... so vibrations where normal.

But after about 30 seconds of it vibrating all of us in the meeting dashed out off the meeting and the windows outside where vibrating pretty good.

It's a pretty humbling experience to realize how vulnerable we really are in the grand scheme of things

Earthquakes are never fun. They are very un-nerving.

With major tectonic plates shifting as of late, I'm sure we can expect many more in areas we don't expect them and unfortunately those we do....

5.0 is a very minimal quake. Having lived on the San Andres fault that would hardly wake me from a slumber.
