Ninja 250r exhausts

New member here. So. Stupid question of course. My name's Keven. From PA. Thanks for the add and I'm looking forward to being a part of the community.

I'm looking for a full header to muffler for my 2009 ninja 250. I wasn't sure what years would fit or how new. My buddy has an aftermarket one on his 2018. It has an 02 bung. But said I could have it if I wanted it. Only problem is I'd have to have it shipped. Or I wouldn't be asking a question like this I'd just be test fitting it. So what years will fit a 2009? Only to 2012? The 02 bung would be nice honestly for a wideband. And I'm pretty sure his is off a 300. Which I read should be the same. Not sure. Thanks in advance.

Keven

It would fit with a welder. From my research, the 300 and 250 exhausts are quite different as far as mounting under the frame and coming out of the heads.
Welcome!

Thanks all. I wasn't sure. Never hurts to ask. I had a 650 and a 1000 but I think I like this little 250 more!

Having had a few motorcycles, and still having a couple, when I got my '05 Ninja 250 I thought, "If I couldn't have any other motorcycles ever again, I'd be fine with this one."

The 300 was '13-'17 (in the US). If it's an '18, then it would be a 400, which is even more different from the 250 than the 300 is.

Same here. That's my thought virtually every time I take it for a ride

Thanks all. I got a full system on order. Hopefully be here soon. I shimmed the needles. You're correct. It is a 400. He was just being courteous in asking if I wanted it before he does whatever with it.

One other question I was going to have was I'm keeping the stock air box. I was going to do the kleen air mod. But. Didn't know how everyone felt on that. Got a lot of conflicting info.

Is the kleen air causing a lot of popping or is removing it causing the popping?
