Rocking Riders: The Italian Connection
Don't you just love discovering awesome new riders who can pull off traveling the world and making videos to document it? YouTube is a treasure trove of pretty amazing stuff. We're lucky to live in a time when riders from all over the world have the tools and the platform to share their adventures. At RideApart, we love to hear those stories and we thought we would share them with you so you too can discover someone new and really awesome. RR1:*Rocking Riders: On Her Bike Around the World Today, we're taking the road with Daniel Caia, an Italian rider, and videographer. He created his YouTube channel in 2012 on which he's been sharing videos of his travels across Europe. Daniel shares his passion for riding, for traveling, but also for photography*and video, a successful combination that results in short, happy, fun videos that are easy to watch and make you travel endless distances without ever leaving your*seat.*He also documents his travels in pictures via his*Instagram account*which is just as interesting. RR2: Rocking Riders: Life in the London Jungle He cleverly combines GoPro, selfie-stick, and drone footage, alternating between first person, third person, and bird's eye views to give the viewer a feel for the ride, but also for the landscape. We all know how hard it can be to do a landscape justice on camera and the effect is rather successful in Daniel's videos thanks to the wonderful technology of drones. What is interesting is his mentality regarding his content: he creates these videos for himself as a sort of souvenir album in motion rather than creating for the needs of his channel. It adds a lightness to his content that's strictly focused on showing us the beauty he witnesses to the sound of upbeat music. No crowdfunding, no clickbait. What you see is what you get and the view is pretty sweet. RR3: Rocking Riders: Forty Times Around and Counting His early videos show him riding on a Kawasaki ER-6n, but he eventually swapped for a Suzuki V-Strom. Discover Europe on two wheels by following Daniel Caia on his adventures—that is until you get to go for yourself. You'll find it hard not to want to go once you've watched some of his videos.
