Exhaust and Power

Hello,

I recently purchased a two bros exhaust(slip-on)for my 2009 ninja 250r. Installation went fine but I began to notice a little less power in the 5 - 8000 rpm's compared to the stock. I love the exhaust but what I have read was there may be an increase in power not a reduction. I am aware a full exhaust will increase power but is there anything I can do to max compression and/or power without damaging the engine?

Thanks for the reply.

P.s. I was a little nervous about buying a two bro's exhaust m2 carbon fiber for $299.99 since all others website had the same for over $100 more. Motorcyclegear.com is pretty legit and they were very fast. I def would buy from them again. Just wanted to share that with you all.

Raise your needles by shimming them, or get a jet kit and use those needles.

Shim your needles! Oh, and pull your snorkel while you're at it DIYs available on the forum. Should come up easy with a search.
