My clock is a wrist watch I got from walmart for $10. I made sure the face lit up really well and had large numbers that would be legible at a glance. I used 3M dual lock snap lock stuff to keep it in place.

Anyone hear of these clocks ?

Seller is clocks4bikes
Made in USA. Seems good and I like the fact it's not digital , so it doesn't take away from our analog gauges.

http://bit.ly/Qk5eDP

They also make a light-up one but not how it's powered. I'd have to email seller

Looks like one of these, based on logo and design. Not personally used one but few youtube videos and reviews.

Looks nice, not exactly cheap, but seems like a quality piece.

I have one. It's pretty well made.

The one I got is the lightup model. It's a basic indiglow clock with a custom face for them. There is an elastic band that wraps around the generic clock which mounts into their custom machined mount. The indiglow one is only available with a whiteface.

I'd like to see these with faces that match the paint. In any case, cool little idea and better than my cheap Casio wrapped around the handlebar.

this doesn't look too bad. shows 12hr time, voltage, and temp. i personally think it's a little pricey for what it is but it's clean and can pretty much go with any bike. just did a search on eBay for 'led car clock'. of course the temp is in C. :x

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-in-1-Car-T...ht_3348wt_1031

there's green too, but can't seem to find a 12hr clock unless you don't mind a 24h clock.

Clocks4Bikes

This is my first post on ninjette.org. In the spirit of full disclosure, my name is Ross Harjes and owner of Clocks4Bikes.com. Part of my New Years resolution is to look at posts in motorcycle forums and quietly address any issues that I can positively impact. So, thank you in advance for indulging me with this post.

From what I have seen, posted comments are favorable about our clocks with the exception that some feel our price may be a bit too high. This I can fix. I have added a new website www.ninjaclocks.com specifically for Ninja 250 forum members at a reduced price. (This low price is not found on our main www.clocks4bikes.com site)The polished version is now $29.95 (I can't go any lower) there is a coupon code listed on the page which will take off $10 at checkout. I appreciate the comments that this forum has had to offer and maybe our forum member price can be of benefit to some of you.
Best Regards, Ross Harjes, and Linda too

Sorry, Old School Analog

Sorry, Just don't have a digital clock. Over the years we've had a number of requests but I just have not get that the demand was strong enough. Maybe I have been wrong. I will look into the possibility of a digital clock insert. Any preference on LED /diode color? Red is probably the easiest but I can ask my maker of the inserts what he can do. I'll keep you posted. Also, thanks to the couple of folks who have decided to get one of the clocks since I posted earlier today. Thanks!
Thanks Again, Ross

How fortunate for me to come across this thread after making a trip to Walgreens last night to buy me a cheap digital watch only to find out they don't sell them anymore! As I was reading this thread, I really was contemplating whether or not to pull the plug, but $50 really is a bit on the expensive side. Thank god Ross chimed in at the perfect time! $30 I can swallow for such an elegant piece. I would love to hear any updates on a digital one, preferably with a blue glow. ^_^

Thank you, Ross, just ordered mine. I've been sitting on this purchase for months, this was just the incentive I needed. I'm glad I waited, this looks like a great product.

I would consider a digital clock but am not interested in the analog version currently offered. Thanks for the $10 discount code though. Does the mounting screw scratch the stem nut? Any problems with water or fogging if you wash the bike with the clock installed?

I don't understand why anyone would want a digital clock when the gauges are analog. Now the new 300 has digital gauges so I would see going digital with it but not on the 250. M clock looks great and the white face and analog gauge matches the speedo and tach perfectly. As far as scratching the stem nut, no it doesn't but wouldn't that be nitpicking if it did? Of course it's waterproof, it made to be on exterior of a bike which could get exposed to rain

And the ones that don't want one have no say as this would be opposing the views of the ones that do?

To say it's a problem suggests it's universal accepted as a flaw, I like not being reminded of the time when I am riding, and if I did want to know the time when riding I'd use the dive extension on my watch, and wear it on the outside of my glove, but I forget people don't wear watches any more.

I don't see the stem nut clocks as a good solution, they are too expensive for what they are, which appears to be a turned metal cap with a cheap chinese quarts movement insert, if they were available in a matt black with a dial to match the gauges on the bike then sure, while mechanically it presents a more elegant solution to the problem by fitting on the cap, functionally and aesthetically it presents no difference from a $5 watch face glued onto the stem nut.

I would prefer digital because its easier to tell time with a quick glance.

Nitpicking if the clock scratched the bike? I keep all my bikes mint and return them to stock before selling. Call me picky.

I did not ask if the clock was waterproof. I already know that it is advertised as being so. My question was if anyone who actually owns one has had any problems with fogging or water getting inside while it was being washed. I simply asking for owner's experiences.

Sorry you feel the need to bash every question I asked.

Isn't the internet fun?

Sorry didn't mean it to come across like I was bashing you.
I have had two of these clocks on 2 separate bikes and I can tell you it is waterproof. As far as scratching the stem nut, I have removed my clock for cleaning and see no scratches on the nut. It's available in black face or white so the black would match your gauges, mine are white on the 2012 so for me the white matches my analog gauges. The quality is very good on the entire unit or I would not have bought a second one for my latest 250. It's been installed since July and have had no issues with it and the people I got it from stand behind it 110%. I agree you could glue a cheap digital watch on the stem nut and get the same result for a lot less money but I was speaking from ascetics as to how well it looks on the bike. In my opinion. It looks like it came with the bike so that's what I was looking for. Again sorry if I came across as bashing you, it was not my intention.

Apology accepted and sorry I got defensive. Glad to hear the clocks are good quality and the seller stands behind them. That's what I was looking to hear; experiences from those who own the clock. Now let's hug and make up

Here is a digital solution from an old thread. CVS pharmacy has them for around $6.00. I've had mine on for a while and it works great. The color is almost a perfect match and looks like a factory part.

Yessss. Finally got around to putting this thing on the bike. Thanks Ross for the personalized card, that was nice.
I didn't even think about trying to match the white gauges.... mannn I wish I did now.
Anybody with this clock ever have theirs stolen? Do you guys take it off before leaving your bike out?

I've got the CVS clock so I don't worry about it getting stolen. It hooks on with a velcro strip so it's easy to take off, but after a year and a half, nobody seems interested in taking it. It could be because: 1) it looks like a factory part that is permanently attached to the bike or, more likely, 2) it looks like a cheap $6.00 CVS clock that isn't worth stealing.
As for yours, it looks expensive so chances are somebody will be tempted to rip it off.

I had a 250 stolen last July after 3 weeks of owning bike. The bike was recovered minus the clock . They left the mount. I tried to order a new one and told Ross about it. I told him I had the mount . Ross cancelled my order, refunded my money and sent me another clock for free . I got another bike and mounted my new clock on it and have had it on there since then.

That's brilliant. They stole the bike....and the only thing they wanted was the clock.

I made it from a cheap watch bought from walmart. I used a dremel to grind the watch-band mounts off and then sanded them smoothly. Some 3M double sided tape mounted it to the stem bolt.
