Bar end mirrors

All I can see in my mirrors are my elbows. So, what bar end mirrors are people using around here? What works, what doesn't?

Wait... your supposed to be able to see something other than your elbows on a bike? I would be interested in some options also.

I bought 650 mirrors. The bracket doesn't fit, but the stem does. The stems are longer and so it pushes the mirror out further, giving you better coverage.

Also check out the ones the Blue Collar Bobbers use on their cafe' racer kit, they slip on your existing bar ends. Cost is $49.00 USD

Bar ends

I have bar ends on my 250. I'll take some pics and post them tomorrow.

I got the mirror extenders from eBay. They move the mirrors out about an inch or so. It's better than stock, but don't expect day and night improvement. But I'll take that little improvement.

Bar end mirrors are super cheap and work really well. My only beef with them on my 919 is they make my already wide handlebars a lot wider, but I've got one on my 500 too and it isn't an issue on it.

This is absolutely awesome! It's not something I would do, but the world is a better place because somebody did.

I don't have this problem. I just move my head a little if my elbow is in the way, but it usually isn't. I guess I just have lucky body dimensions.

I have bar ends. I got them, because I like the look of them better. I'm also 6'1 and wasn't seeing much out of the factory ones. They definitely helped.

yeah, i am 6'1 as well. if i push the mirrors out to the limit, i can see some of the cars on the next lanes, but not behind me. so i ordered a cheap-ish set of mirrors on amazon, stay tuned, this will be my first mode of the Firefly.

Actually I'm planning on doing their cafe' racer kit, once I find a 250 going cheap enough, and have the spare money for the kit, I like the old school look, and modern technology mixture.
color will be orange to match my 500, and accent color will be silver to match the 250.

Removed the bar end weighs on the 99 Ninja 250 Cafe Racer project. Will keep them in case there's too much vibration and need to re-install them. If you keep the bar end weights, longer bolts can be used to install the SpeedMetal mirrors. Have two other bikes including a 2012 Ninja 650, with bar end mirrors installed this way without issues and can actually see behind the bike.
