Suspension doesn't move
2010 Ninja 250 front suspension very stiff. The forks don't move at all
Over most road surfaces. Not enough to make riding this Bike on freeway. Bounces way too much. Rear shock is worse. No cushion at all. Bike sinks a little when getting on and no cushion. There's no way to even know if a new shock Will work any better. I think if I add 100 pounds to The suspension. |

I'm looking in the repair manual and the items marked R are
Replacement parts so I will soon attempt this job. Changing oil didn't Make much difference with 7 weight oil. i also loosened the two lower fork clamp bolts and retightened t o see if there was any binding. I think I'm getting some rubbing inside making Forks not as sensitive to freeway riding. Bike shouldnt bounce up and down. The springs measured 16.4 somewhere Around there. Ride has never been good. There's a looks like on the inner cylinder a seal that rubs inside the inner tube. i'll replace also. Whatever rubs inside. And out. Get the forks moving Ninja 250 with 15,600 miles Last futzed with by JAG; August 25th, 2013 at 06:28 PM. Reason: More info |
