Do you guy think that a hard saddle case is a good idea as it no longer need to remove every time we park and some have lock also.
I start riding last month and don't have much idea about what pro/cons but hopeful I could have some storage place other than my backpack.
Thanks,
Edward
If your looking at hard luggage, I would recommend a top case. I have one on my Ninja 500, and it is extremely handy, and it's easily removable.
another option is a tank bag, I have the rapid transit recon19L, it's magnetic, and converts into a backpack with the supplied straps.

Hope this helps.

Ha, interesting,
I never thought a top case could be easy removed.
Is that big enough for a helmet?

Yes the case is very easily removed, with just the key, it's just a button you push, you can see it towards the bottom of the case, red button. My top case is large enough to fit a full face helmet. The is my case, http://www.jcwhitney.com/garage-pro-...rid=c14603u0j1

They make cases in a wide variety of sizes, and options as well. Here is a link you can check out to give you some ideas. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/twist...inja-250-88-07

Hope this helps

Thanks Ghostt,
that's a very useful link.
Do you need a rack for your case?
Do your case come with necessary mounting?
I'm kind of like your idea.
Does the case sit on the back seat or it extend at the back of bike?

Yes you will need a rack to have something for the top case mounting plate to bolt too.
it did come with everything to mount it to the rack.

If you look at the pictures on the twisted throttle site, you can see it extends past the back of the bike.

Wow, it seem like a wonderful solution to have a case and rack within $100 as most of other source I search way more than that.
Why you choose the medium than large one?
The large one seem have better review and cheaper.
Really thanks Ghostt.
I need to take some time to study about it. Have a good night.

I did get the large one, $45.00 and don't forget you need the rack which the one on twisted throttle is about $100.00.

You should shop around, maybe even check out eBay

@edward2014, the case on JCWhitney is good, but also consider the GIVI cases. GIVI is top dollar, but top quality, as well.

If you don't want to shell out the $100 for the rack, buy some aluminum and make your own: http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Hard_luggage

@Ghostt, does that hard case wire to the brakes? Or is it just reflective?

My brother has a large Givi top case on his BMW F650GS. Its nice.. can fit a full face helmet and then some.

His has reflectors on it but also a real brake light that OPTIONALLY can be hooked up with two wires to the brake lights.

It's wired to the brake light modulator. The lights are DIY I got some 5050 SMD LED strip lights, and they fit perfectly into the lens.

That I don't know, I would call twisted throttle and ask them, all else fails, if you don't need it return it.
I would check Amazon too they might have a better price and they are very easy to return things too.

Ever since you told me about this rack and top box, I did some search and find that twisted throttle are the only supplier for my old bike. Most of other supplier change their line for 08-13 model. I search ebay/amazon and not find anything close. Just don't know the rack end up close to $100 or towards $200.
I saw some listing on Amazon but not one for Ninja 250.

If you've got the fab skills, make your own mounting set up with some aluminum! I've seen it done before.. Searching for the thread now.

@Roark, I don't got that TwistedThrottle yet. According to mounting instruction and others photo it only have 4 screw position to hold and no screw at the rear grab bar.

I search thru several different racks even some from Asia also.
They are not exact fitted for Ninja 250 and may need some touch up.
Size and strength is not that clear but shipping define take longer.

Here is my write up on the grab bar mystery;

Being new to the 88~07 model and finding these two threaded holes in the bottom side of the grab handle, what possibility could Kawasaki put there?
After doing some research I of course found the answer in an old post: http://forums.ninja250.org/viewtopic...135c2bec2737cd

So that's what there for, very cool so all I need is a pair of bank sensor bolts. But after looking at the ones on my pegs they really did look good enough, wrong color, and just didn't seem like it would hold the hook due to its just straight.

So then I began to look at other Kawasaki bank bots, and I found the ones that not only have a ball end on it, but they are the proper color, as long as it black, and they even have loctite already on them.

So here's the pictures so all can see, the bolts are cheap enough, and it gives you two more solid points to hook or tie too.

So there you have it.

Np always glad to contribute to the cause.

Believe it or not this does help when carrying stuff, I have one of those bungee cargo nets, and the two extra points helps tremendously.

I will attempt to fabricate a rack when I get the case in (plus the free time )

If I can't, $100 isn't so bad!

I'll post up my attempts if they produce anything of merit

Your welcome, I'm new to the Ninja 250 world, but I'm an old man in the motorcycle universe LOL.

After taking a good look at the mounting system from twisted throttle, I believe that is very easily made assuming you have the raw materials. Good thing the pdf has all the specs of the attaching hardware.

Exactly what I was thinking.. Their instructions make the process much easier!

Also, why are you attempting to sell your touring windscreen? Seems like a necessity for long distances.

I got a different style screen that is much bigger, it's a JUROCK 7 brand

Here is my review of it:

Okay road test done, and here is my official review of the 7 JUROCK windscreen, but first here is the info from their website:

http://www.7jurock.com/store/index.p...&productId=324

Product Information*

OEM Measurement 11.5" Height, 10" Width*

7Jurock replacement windshield for*KAWASAKI 250R NINJA*1988 – 2007 Models*follows the same lines and contours as the original Kawasaki*OEM windscreen.*7Jurock offers:* 12" – 18" Height, 14" Width.*This*windshield is wider than the original, providing the rider arms*torso wind protection.**Beautifullyhandcrafted from 0.187 (3/16") thick cast military aircraft grade acrylic, specified for optical clarity.*Available in Clear,*Light Gray and Dark Gray.* All shields are D.O.T. approved and are manufactured to order.**Edges are hand ground*and polished.***CNC cut and drilled ready to install.**Height is measured along the center line of the windshield and width near the top.**NOTE:* Dark Gray is 0.125 (1/8").

Note:*No*mounting hardware, mounting brackets, mounting kits and/or any accessories (required for installation) will be included
with the purchase of our Replacement Windshield.

Ok now that that's out of the way, let the review begin;

I would first like to extend a special thank you to Sonia Torres, from 7 JUROCK. She answered all my emails promptly, and always had the answers, and was great to deal with, she even took my order over the phone.

I ordered the 18" in dark smoke(73% tint) and I asked if they could add a flip to it, Sonia said yes, I also told her I'm a tall person(6'3"/with a 34" inseam) and can they make the flip more aggressive, she said yes as well. So I placed my order and waited like a kid waiting on Santa Claus for FedEx to show up.

After what seemed like forever it arrived, the windscreen was exceptionally packaged, so no damage during shipping. I tore into the box like a Christmas present, and was not disappointed, the finish on the windscreen was top notch, no rough edges, and no distortion. I was worried that an 18" might be too much, and look bad, too big,etc.....

Installation was a breeze, as it should be if the windscreen is well made, and this one is superior, fit was dead on, fastening holes are clean and no rough edges. After installation I was relieved that it looked great, and not too much as I had worried about.

Road test, so now comes the meat of the review. Now with the stock windscreen the wind use to hit me about mid chest, not much protection, as expected. So now at highway speeds, and maybe at time a little bit over, the windscreen hits me about the middle of my full face helmet visor, and almost little on my chest, and shoulders, the only downside was I found myself a bit warmer than usual, due to lack of airflow over myself, which is to be expected, and not a bad thing.

So there you have it, 7 JUROCK is the probably the only manufacturer whom make such a screen for the bike, add to that the number of options you can choose, and very affordable.

If anyone has any further questions, feel free to as myself, or give Sonia Torres a call at 7 JUROCK.

I got those. They lasted one trip to the store and back. The straps broke very easy.

That makes the bike look like the alien from aliens. I dig it.

LOL to tell the truth all the modifications were done over a few months, and yes there's more I haven't posted, but you can see from my list, any particular modification just let me know, and I have a write up on.

The best part of most of my modifications is they are easily done, and inexpensive, with just a little bit of work to do.

Good deal, sir. As my income allows, I'll be taking advantage of more than a few of your write ups

That did cross my mind, but I was trying to keep the Kawasaki style, maybe next time, as I'm planning to do something with the original fairings that the bike came with, an don't ask I'm not giving any hints at this time .
