chain clicking?
OK sound it sounds a bit to me like the chain is making a clicking noise. Ever heard of this? The chain is not loose and it was just lube 150 miles ago?

Just found this, but how do I check for chain slack the correct way? I am a bit mixed up. |

A dealership pressed the plates on a rivet master link too tightly and caused it to bind (as diagnosed by another mechanic). Also, it was not a matching link (never mix brand/types). This caused excessive chain and sprocket wear. It would also bind and hit the sprocket cover when passing around the front sprocket. The larger 15-tooth front sprocket made this possible so I don't know if that is what you are hearing.
