Oh, to be sure. I think without the front fairing, or whatever it's called, it would be much nicer looking. I dig the Monster, but not that thing. And yes, the frame is no bueno.

It's not your job to save this moron. Just start calling him "Darwin" and let him go do what he thinks best. Shrug and say "Well, it's your choice… good luck."

Memories are often romanticized. At the time, 68 hp was also darn impressive.

An R1 is much less temperamental when switched to B mode, but I don't know how much this castrates the bike.

I think S1000RR with traction control, ABS, and rain mode wouldn't be too bad to learn on.

The 2012 S1000R is 193 horsepower on a bike that is only just a tad over 400lbs, "rain" mode only knocks it down to 163 hp.

everybody rides different. if you want an r1, go buy it and have fun. if you want to ride something aggressively, its a stupid first bike. but if you just want a cruiser, who cares. you arent going to come close to the limit of pretty much anything it can do so whats the harm. its an amazing bike and looks great. if you respect it you arent going to randomly explode and die. (unless you use cheap fuses)
