low speed collision. need help to find problems on the bike.

LESSON LEARNED = keep the helmet visor closed

help me guys my heart literally broke because of the accident. because this is my first big bike want to keep it as good as new and want to use it as long as possible

so, earlier today when i was riding home from my school, something went into my eye, and when i scratched my eye, the car in front of me just stopped & freaked the hell out of me and yeah i bumped the car.

it was so slow that fortunately i just flew up my tank and landed back safely. and fortunately i managed to stand still and hold the bike. the bike didnt fall to the ground

the speed was around 40 kph / 20 mph

soo the problem is :

1. can you guys tell me what problems could happen because of the accident (wobbly shock / bike cant ride straight, poor handling, etc.)

2. found a small scratch on the front mudguard, how to remove it ?

thanks a lot guys will keep the damn visor closed next time i ride.

Sorry to hear about the little incident...and yes, that's why helmets have visors on them.

I think you should upgrade to a supersport though, 600cc or 1000cc would be better...seems to be the popular thing to do around here.

Yeah. Then get offended when people advise you against a super sport.

Depends on how hard you hit the car. The damage could range from cosmetic (scratch on fender), to structural (bent forks, tweaked frame near the triple-tree).

Sorry to learn about your mishap.

Are those actual problems that the bike shows after the collision?

Every collision is different, and even in similar collisions different parts can be damaged. In this case, given the description of the impact, my guess would be the forks are the most likely thing to be damaged, followed by the triple tree. The only way to proceed is to pull the plastics and start inspecting the forks to see if they're bent, and if they're out of alignment.

You smashed your nuts on the tank and it's all in your head.

this. Couldn't he also notice a wobble/shaking if he reached high enough speeds? I'd do that somewhere safe and out the way after you go over the front and don't see any obvious signs of damage.

hmm i guess i wont upgrade to supersports because the 250 already cost 5000$ and kawasaki sells zx 6r on a ridiculous 20,000$
and if i upgrade the power of the supersports will be useless. since there are no highway riding here
maybe i'll upgrade when i move to europe
