BONHAMS is auctioning the 2006 MV Agusta F4CC owned by Easy Rider legend Peter Fonda at its massive Las Vegas sale on January 8.

One of just 100 ‘CC’ models – that stands for Claudio Castiglioni, the late owner of MV Agusta – that were made in 2006 to celebrate Castiglioni’s achievements, the bikes were massively expensive when new and Fonda’s ownership means this will still be a seriously pricy bike now. The auctioneers are estimating £39,000-£51,000 for the bike, which is number 21 of the limited run.

The CC came from the era when the F4 was still in its original, Tamburini-penned shape but by the time it appeared the engine had been upped from 750cc to 1078cc, with all the performance that implies. It also gained the usual limited-edition goodies like fully carbon bodywork and a titanium exhaust.

The winning bidder will also get the Girard-Perregaux watch and leather jacket that came with the bike when it was new, both only lightly used, as is the bike which has just 2000 miles on the clock.
