Removing Exhaust/'Straight' Piping a Ninja 250???

Hey guys, so i know this is really different, but i just want to know, what would happen if you were too take the muffler off the ninja and run it? I'm just curious, as i have no intentions of acutally doing this. However, i have been looking at slip ons and what not, and there are a few that look like its just a straight exhaust pipe, with an optional insert.

Is this basically just an extension of pipe from the exhaust pipe? Or is there something inside of it, besides the possible insert, that is in there?

I am really curious as to what removing the muffler/'straight' piping it would do.

Thanks

If you just cut off the muffler?
You'd lose a lot of power, and piss off everyone.

If you also rejet it to run with a straight pipe, you'd lose all low-end and midrange, and gain a little bit of top end.

It would make it sound like crap.

PS, the GP1 does have a tiny little perforated tube, so not completely straight pipe. Still redonkulously loud
