[visordown.com] - Black Polygon Desmosedici RR to debut at London bike show

A DUCATI Desmosedici RR painted in a ‘Black Polygon’ finish is to debut at this weekend’s Bike Shed Show (BSS).

The custom work was undertaken by London-based painters Death Spray Customs who have given the Desmo a finish reminiscent of navy battleship camo.

Little else is revealed about the bike; we’ll wait until we see it before passing judgement.

Also to receive its UK debut at the BSS is the Paton S1, a production version of the bike they plan to race at this year’s Isle of Man Lightweight TT race.

The S1 has a hand-built chassis and is powered by a Kawasaki 650cc parallel-twin. Paton claim the 71hp bike will have a wet weight of 158kg, giving it a claimed top speed of 133mph.

Roberto Pattoni, Paton’s Technical Director, said: 'Racing has been Paton’s goal since it started in 1958, and with modern classes it means making a street legal bike, which also carries the added motivation of increasing our small firm's technical knowledge by having to solve problems it has never had to face before as well as providing a new challenge. It is a culmination of all our history into one single product.'

This year’s BSS is being held at the Tobacco Dock warehouse in in the Docklands area of east London over the 24 and 25 May. The show is said to be ‘Home of the new-wave, café racer & brat-style creative custom culture’.

Open from 10am-6pm, entry is £10 on the door.
