Hello from missouri ! New 250 owner, kind of

Hey everyone, I just acquired a 2004 ninja 250. It's wrecked with 733 miles, I'm putting the motor on a go kart for my son but plan to part the rest of the bike out. I'm hardcore kawasaki thorough , I have a 99' zrx 1109 turbo and a 2005 zx10r also. Look forwarding to chatting and learning some things. Hopefully I'm still welcome with my strange ninja kart

Welcome Jared!

There are a few others on this forum doing the same thing your doing. Maybe you can get with them.

Please keep us updated on your progress. I am looking to do something like this for a golf cart/utility vehicle conversion.

I'm just getting started on the kart, pulling the motor out of the ninja tonight and start on motor mount fabs. Got wheels and slicks for a jr dragster I'll get some pics up soon. Is it worth parting out a gen 1 everything is good and like new from engine back.

What are you using for a frame? I've seen one (and two) 250 engines on karts. They are usually 2 strokes and they do 160mph.

Yeah you've seen shifter karts probably. Mine is a 1 seater. I'll put up a pic or two today, a shifter would be fun for me but I want my son to enjoy this one also so I went milder.
