Best wishes for all involved

I've been watching on the TV for quite some time from AU, being totally disconnected I sometimes forget about the locals, the footage is amazing, then I hear about the homes that are lost and I remember it's not all about the footage and raw power.

Stay safe.

I'm curious why this section has been opened up for development.

Apparently the lower east zone erupts every 13 years or so.

To me its like what happened here in Queensland a few years ago, the council sold of a heap of land, suburbs were built, everyone was happy, until the flood.

The land they sold was prone to flooding, they didnt tell anyone, people died, whole suburbs were washed away and flooded.

It even got worse, the government decided NOT to open the spill ways on the dam, they thought they could capture all the water, to sell to us later on, but what happened, yeap, you guessed it, the dam overflood, they then decided to release the water through the spill way, sadly the idiots did it as the tide was coming in, the CITY of Brisbane flooded.

Bloody government officials win hard again.
