2006 Gpx 1990 ninja project

HI all just a quick Question Frames and forks are they the same on both bikes l mean the part that goes into the fork leg are they the same diameter the 1990 is a import from japan they only made a twin disc set for that country the 2006 has only one disc lm aiming on putting the twin disc set up on the 2006 the problem is the top part of the fork leg has spot rust on it and the seals are stuffed now lm thinking of rebuilding the bottom leg with the 2006 top part as theres not a blemish on them actually l have 3 bikes its a scoot

Last futzed with by beakeyozz; March 4th, 2019 at 01:43 AM. Reason: why not scoots kool

I would invest in a set of digital calipers to measure each part to double check the fitment. They will pay for themselves real fast. Looking at the bikes, I would say, that they should fit if they are same diameter fork legs (I think they are) but you will need to replace the whole braking system for the front to be safe. The master cylinder for the barakes might have different flow characteristics to feed the twin calipers. And the fittings will all match up for sure.
