So far I gave and updated overview of what’s on my bike currently , I’ll try to do a little time line showing the history of my bike.
Here is the bike when I first seen it/bought it. This is the bike at the previous owner’s garage.

The bike had only about 3300km’s on it at the time and it was in great condition, as you can see the owner did a few mods, he had a fender eliminator kit, monster tank pad which I removed, and he blacked out the windscreen.

Here is the bike shortly after the owner dropped it off. I did a quick wipedown. The bike was filthy, and I’m the kind of person who likes to keep their stuff clean!

One of my first mod was to install HID’s which I had laying around so I installed them and put them to use! This was the same day the bike was dropped off too 

And then my cowl cover came in, I was debating between green and black, and I’m glad I got green.

Up next is my proton flushmount turn signals.
In this pic you can see my flushmounts along with my frame sliders

My most recent mod was a two bros slip on I purchased off a member off here for a great price, I wish I had the yoshimura CF slip on but the two bros will do!

Oh ya, and here is my bike when I was deciding what colour to keep my wheels

All of this was done with about a month of owning it
I kinda wish I started my update thread when I first bought the bike, but what can you do now

I am limited to garage pictures atm LOL since its freezing outside here. I want to get a nice photoshoot of the bike though, I did lay down two coats of a paint sealant along with two coats of quality wax, let’s hope it stays super clean until spring time!

And off-topic, but here is how I came up with my screen name,
It’s my “cage”. K24 = motor, CM7 = chassis code

Comments and suggestions welcomed!

Also what rear sets and clip-on's would you guys recommend?
Im thinking of getting the woodcraft clip ons, with the yoshimura rear bracket instead of a set?

Yeah always, I only closed the door because I didnt want my exhaust to piss my neighbours off. Closed the doors to reduce some noise, and aired the place out after the video was over

I'm really diggin your bike so far! I haven't seen too many SE 2010's so far... yours is top notch! I suggest the woodcraft clip ons for sure... its what I have. I would suggest the bohemian racing rear sets... they are on my to do list. If you want mod ideas check out my profile for pics and I have my modifications blog for a run down of everything I've done

Thanks!
And I think I may get myself the woodcraft clipons during next season. I want to ride the bike a bit without them and put them on to actually notice the difference.
And I will definitely check out your bike ! Seems like its a nice one form how you described it!

I did a quick led mod, spent 20 bucks on 4 12" LED strips which I cut into 8 6" strips, I accidently shorted a 12" strip so I only had 6 6" strips installed, I may order more to illuminate my front and rear wheels.

Here are some pics, pics really do not do these led's justice! Its really hard to get a good pic. But Its better than nothing

Yea it looks great at night! Im happy with it for the $20 I spent.

I did however lower the exposure on the camera to try to capture the glow, it may seem bright, but for some reason I cannot capture a picture that shows what it looks like in real life! Looks amazing compared to the pics! So it will look even better than pics if you guys do this mod.

Also just for fun ...

Good thing I got a quick ride in yesterday when the weather was super nice ... now I guess its OFFICIALLY winter now theres snow every where. No more ninja until spring time

Wow. The LEDs are extremely nice. Everything is actually. Can't wait to see what else you do to it.

I want to add a crash kit to my bike when it arrives and I was wondering if you feel it's something difficult to install for someone with limited "put stuff together/super moddin'" experience? Maybe HIDs and such will come much later for me if I can just accomplish frame sliders, etc. I don't want to rely on hired hands.

Can't wait 'til spring, maybe we'll get to see it in motion. C:

Thanks.

Thanks! , I dont have too much left to do to the bike, hopefully I can update this thread in the future with clip-ons and rear sets

As for the frame sliders, if you got the shogun kit, than the install isnt "Easy" or I wouldnt say "Hard" , maybe in-between. Probably a 6/10 difficulty. I only say this because it does require a bit of time. You need to take your side fairings off, which is just some basic bolts and clips.
Once the fairings are off you just need to put a jack underneath the motor and replace the front and rear engine mount bolts The jack will prevent the engine falling down when removing the bolts.
The left side will interfere with your stock chain cover which you will need cut a few inches off to get it to fit with the frame slider rails.
And do the reverse to install.

As you can see its a long tedious process, but to install the frame slider components is fairly easy, remove two bolts and replace them with two new bolts. Thats pretty much it.

I got this digital clock gauge thing for pretty cheap,
Its got clock (definitely needed), inside temp, outside temp and voltage.
(Note the voltage in the pic is of a 9v battery to see how it would look)

Also I got 4 more 12" strips of LED's, might light up the front and rear wheels. Update soon? Not too sure yet but Im sure Ill end up installing them.

^^^ Thanks for the break down of everything, but I ended up having the dealership do it so that it'll already be done. I don't own a jack and I'm very hesitant about working near or around the engine. Maybe I'll grow out of it.

Thanks again.

I got it from dealextreme, its a site that sends stuff from china, usually cheap and sometimes low quality. But this gauge seems to be durable, and its got decent features for its price. Here's the link btw
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3-8-lcd...vehicles-35152

And about the water resistant , I honestly have no clue and didnt really put that into consideration when I bought it. Not a big deal for me though because I have a car to drive when it rains. So I think it would be fine for me.

Anyone here think the two bros slip on is just too loud? I may switch back to the stock pipe.. But that thing was heavy as a hell!!
Two bros pipe makes my bike sound like a truck, nothing sport about that :s

Exactly how I felt about my MGP Growler... I got rid of it and went with the Yoshimura full TRC exhaust and left the baffle in... it is like night and day... love it... definitely recommend it

So when i originally ordered a cowl cover, I was deciding between the green one and a black one since on my special edition, the rear part of the bike was black so I painted my green cowl black to see how it is, I think the green definitely looked better but I also love the satin finish of paint so I may consider paying my bike black this summer or possible red. Ill be using plasti-dip so its cheap and totally reversible!

I also took off my two bro's can this morning and put the stock on back on .. Hated it sounding like a pick up truck, it was too loud especially when coming into neighbourhoods, I hated coming home late because it was LOUD! The stock exhaust is MUCH heavier and quieter, for residental areas its perfect but on the road, its too quiet ...

Do you guys know of an exhaust in between? Im thinking of a yoshi slip-on ...

Your bike looks sick. I need to post some updated pics of my bike. Just been too lazy to do it lately. I have the same bike but pretty much the only mods done to mine are a Dan Moto exhaust and green LED's.

^ thanks!

Just removed the snorkel from the filter box. Causes the bike to bog around ~5k but Ill be shimming the needles Monday, hopefully that will fix it !

hopefully in a month or so I can get clip-on's , either rear sets or adjusters, and the two bros silencer! .. Also thinking about getting new eBay levers ... not too sure though.

Ive wasted more $$ than expected on the bike

That's actually a stumble, not a bog, but that's besides the point.

You'll like how it feels with the needles raised.

Never heard the term stumble, how would you describe that compared to bogging ?

but yeah cant wait to see the difference after I raise the needles! It was much needed even before the slip on and snorkel removal

Also was thinking last night before I went to bed ...

Was thinking of getting GOLD accents on the bike? So if I were to get rear set's id probably get them in gold along with brake levers?

Black vs Gold vs Green... hmm too many decisions

Hmm, I don't think gold would go well with green, unless you're planning on painting it all black/red like you said above.

Also, have you thought about putting some green accents on your cowl to make it complement the green better?

edit:
I'm glad to see a pic of a non-black bike with black rear fairings. Because my bike is blue, and I was looking at replacing them with the ebony black fairings (they're cheaper than MI Blue; my rear left one is cracked) but I wasn't sure how it would look.

but yeah cant wait to see the difference after I raise the needles! It was much needed even before the slip on and snorkel removal
A bog is when the engine is rich. It feels kinda soggy and slow to react, because the engine is fighting with having too much fuel.

A stumble (usually accompanied by surging if kept at that rpm/throttle input) is a sign of being lean at that spot. It's more of a just dead spot, or a lethargic feeling, and comes across as a hesitation until more gas is added. This is because the engine is not able to work to it's potential with the lack of fuel it is being given if that makes any sense.

It takes some playing with the jetting and a lot of fine tuning to really get a grasp for how the bike feels when slightly rich or slightly lean. Just keep in tune with the bike and take a note of how it feels with small changes in throttle inputs, and small changes in the jetting. This is why jetting is so different for each bike, and is more of an art than a science. It takes some patience and a conscious effort to feel everything.

Get some black vinyls for the main fairing so it looks like black was an actual paint scheme instead of just a black body part, and no one will ever know the difference.

Also, have you thought about putting some green accents on your cowl to make it complement the green better?

I actually removed the paint off the cowl, its back to green again and I think it just flows a bit better with the paint scheme.

Ahh now I understand the difference and it was definitely a stumble. So I raised the jet's today, took about ... 2-3 hours? screws were a PAIN to get to considering the frame got in the way of 4 of the screws. Ended up stripping one really bad which took a bit of time to get out. When I went to install the needle 2 washers fell into the diaphragm(?) and it took a while to get them out.. s

All in all the bike has definitely got rid of that stumble it had, but I think I may have added too many washers. Im pretty sure the bike idles a bit higher. Also I was riding and I tested my choke at a red light and the bike almost stalled, 3 times in a row when I tried it happened. In a parking lot I tried starting the bike with the choke on and it took about 4 tries to start it and the rpms jumped to 8k. Normally my bike would idle at around 4k with the choke on..

Edit -
Bike runs 10x better now ! Loving the smooth mid range power.
