Troubleshooting

What order should I go in to see why my lights on my dash are not showing up. Like I'm getting now power. Also how do I know of my junction box aka fuse box is bad. 98 kawasaki ninja250r.

Start at the battery and follow the circuit until you no longer have power. Red wire to Main fuse, white wire to ignition, brown wire to j-box, through the taillight fuse, red/blue wire to the dash bulbs, black/yellow common ground to complete the circuit.

What do you mean follow circuit tell I loose power how do I check it I have a meter but idk where to put it beside my battery and my solenoid. Idk where else to put it after that

It doesn't work right.

Measure the voltage between the battery posts. You should have ~12V.

Move the red probe to where the red wire goes into the Main fuse. You should still have ~12V.

Move the red probe to where the white wire comes out of the Main fuse. You should still have ~12V.

Repeat until you don't have ~12V. You've found the section of the circuit that has a problem.
